The countdown is officially on. After taking over Mana Wynwood this summer, Balloon Museum’s Pop Air is entering its final week in Miami.
The immersive exhibition closes September 27, meaning there are only a few days left to step inside its larger-than-life world of inflatable art. If you’re making a final visit–or still haven’t made it through the doors–these are a few experiences worth looking out for.
Mariposa – Christopher Schardt
Suspended from an 18-foot tower, “Mariposa” features a 26-foot-wide kinetic butterfly structure constructed with over 39,000 programmable LEDs, light sequences, and spatial audio that activate in response to movement.
Swing – Motorefisico
“Swing” consists of interactive suspended spheres engineered to move and bounce as visitors physically engage with the installation, utilizing basic physical principles to explore kinetic movement and spatial interaction.
Her Joy – Alex Schweder
Part sculpture, part environment, “Her Joy” uses inflatable architecture to play with movement and space. The installation changes as visitors interact with it, making you part of the artwork rather than simply a spectator.
Airship Orchestra – ENESS
A glowing collection of inflatable characters comes together in “Airship Orchestra,” an immersive installation filled with light, sound, and personality. Walk among the larger-than-life figures as they illuminate and respond, creating a space that feels almost otherworldly.
Bau(ncy) Haus – Jimmy Kuehnle
Exactly as playful as its name suggests, “Bau(ncy) Haus” turns inflatable art into an experience you can step inside. Bold, oversized, and unconventional, the installation brings out the playful side of Pop Air and makes for one final must-see before leaving the exhibition.
