Mana Fashion Services Presents: Color Theory with Pantone
Apr 30, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Following an insightful presentation on color trend forecasting with Pantone last month, Mana Fashion Services is set to bring the workshop and presentation to Mana Contemporary. Tannese Williams, Pantone’s Product Manager of fashion, home interiors, and leading expert in the world of color, is scheduled to present. This will be followed by an interactive discussion on color theory, forecasting, and trends.

Conceiving the Plan: Nuance and Intimacy in Civic Space
Visiting hours: Wed – Fri, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM (and by appointment)
This exhibition, presented by Monira Foundation, features a series of post-2020 proposals by a range of international architects, considering Civic Space in contemporary terms. It asks the following questions: How can civic spaces be imbued with nuance? In what ways does such a quality persist in the city? Can one discuss intimacy in architectural terms?

From the Feet Up – 50 Years of Beats & Sneaks
April 12 – Ongoing
Mana Contemporary and Obsessive Sneaker Disorder (OSD) present From the Feet Up, a celebration of the interlinked culture of sneakers and hip-hop on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. The exhibition showcases 50 sneakers dating back to 1973, emphasizing important collaborations between commercial brands, musicians, and sports icons.

Visit the Jonas Mekas Cinema, tucked adjacent to his Mana Contemporary Chicago exhibit, to enjoy a special screening of films and videos from several artists that “embrace life, documented as it occurs”. The screenings are hosted in partnership with Onion City Film Festival and Monira Foundation.
